“Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Take the moment and make it perfect.” – Unknown

My musical journey started when I was 14. Some friends and I wanted to start a band and I had always wanted to play drums. My Dad didn’t like the idea of his son playing drums and persuaded me into pursuing guitar instead. “You can’t sit around a campfire and play drums” he said. The next day I was excitingly armed with a cheap electric guitar, a cheap amp and a pile of instructional books and music filled binders. All throughout high school, I played in numerous bands fulfilling various positions such as rhythm and lead guitar, drums, bass and even frontman for a few. The genres ranged from classic rock, alt rock and cover bands to original metal and metalcore groups.

After high school, I went on to study Audio Production and Music Theory while majoring in Automotive Technology. After graduating and realizing that I did not want to spend the rest of my life working on other people’s cars, I decided I needed to go back to school to continue my music studies. I have since gone on to study with Full Sail University in the pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Music Production. While studying with Full Sail, my professors sparked new passions in me for sound design and film score composition.

Music has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Currently, I own and operate a comfortably sized recording studio / rehearsal space, Second Story Productions. When I am not busy with working on freelance production jobs, you can usually find me either teaching private instrument lessons or working with and recording various bands and solo artists throughout a wide range of genres.
